The European Spirits Challenge was established to highlight the best wine and spirit
producers in the world. The most prominent Spirits Buyers in Europe assembled at London County Hall, under the iconic gaze of the London Eye. Thousands of samples from 21 countries fought head-to-head. The most exciting spirits in the world battled to impress the demanding European Spirits Challenge Judges whom included senior representatives of The Ritz Hotel, Bibendum and Venus Wine & Spirit Merchants PLC.

The European Spirits Challenge uses a “Triple Blind Tasting” Methodology, meaning that the Judges are not allowed any information about the samples they taste. They cannot see the bottle, they do not know what country the entry is from, and the judges have no indication of price points. Also, the competition judging is monadic and private, meaning that judges do not discuss their thoughts together. Thus, winning a European Spirits Challenge 2022 award is enormously valuable.
