Louisville, Kentucky- September 20, 2016 – Rivulet Artisan Pecan Liqueur is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Double Gold Medal, for the second year in a row, at the The Fifty Best’s second annual Liqueur Tasting which recently took place in New York City.  The Fifty Best has been conducting competitions and ratings among spirit brands in most spirit categories for 20 years.  The Fifty Best also evaluates and rates restaurants, wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, cigars, food, travel and entertainment in major cities worldwide.  This was the second time the judges turned the spotlight on the Liqueur category in spirits, hosting a tasting and competition among 21 of the finest contenders from around the world.  The Fifty Best prides itself as “an unbiased guide to fine living, for those with epicurean tastes.”

Using professional criteria, the pre-qualified panel of judges blind-tasted the liqueurs in seven separate categories, and then rated them individually on a 1-5 point scoring system with 5 being the best.  After tallying the scores, medals were awarded based on the judges impressions and evaluations.  Double Gold Medals are typically only awarded when the entire panel of judges unanimously award a product a Gold Medal, resulting in a Double Gold rating!  Many consumers have commented that Rivulet is the finest, most authentic and luxurious nut liqueur they have tasted.  Rivulet is fortunate enough to have been awarded Double Gold Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014, the American Distilling Institute’s Craft Spirits Competition held in Louisville in 2015, The Fifty Best’s Liqueur Tasting in New York in 2015, and again a double gold medal at the Fifty Best’s Second Annual Liqueur Tasting in New York in 2016.
