Dana Point, California – May 12, 2014 – Rivulet Artisan Pecan Liqueur is pleased to announce its winning the top Platinum Medal award at the 6th Annual Spirits International Prestige (SIP) Awards. The Spirits International Prestige Awards Competition was held this year at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort near San Diego in Dana Point, California.
This year’s competition consisted of 403 brands entered from over 20 countries, judged by a panel of 70 consumer judges. This “SIP” panel of 70 judges is not affiliated with any marketer, industry wholesaler or distributor, assuring that results are unbiased and not influenced by industry insiders. Each spirit is presented undiluted and evaluated based on aroma, taste, and finish in a blind tasting. Medals awarded are across all spirit categories, and they are organized by bronze, silver, gold, and the coveted platinum medal. Not all brands entered even qualify for a medal. “Consumers are the ultimate decision makers, and their honest opinions are something that you just can’t buy,” says SIP Awards executive producer Paul Hashemi. “ When you enter this competition, your spirit will be judged by a panel of consumers, not by industry insiders.”
