Edward Kennedy,
President and CEO

Ed Kennedy is President and CEO of Rivulet Communications Inc. He brings to Rivulet more than 25 years of global executive experience in the telecommunications, fiber optics and networking industries. Ed is recognized in the Washington, DC-area technology community as a visionary leader who has successfully founded and operated several leading-edge firms. He is perhaps best known as the CEO, President and Co-Founder of Ocular Networks, a provider of next-generation optical networking technologies. Ocular became one of the most successful M&A deals in 2002 when it was acquired by Tellabs (NASDAQ: TLAB). Ed was then promoted and served as president of Tellabs until 2004. Ed has held various executive positions at leading companies, including Alcatel and Newbridge Networks. Most recently, Ed worked in an advisory role with Columbia Capital, a premier venture capital investment firm. Ed is a sought-after speaker at industry and financial venues. He has spoken at some of Wall Street’s largest conferences and has addressed the global telecommunications community at several industry events. Ed is a member of the boards of Hatteras Networks and Imagine Communications. He also was a Board member of Visual Networks (NASDAQ: VNWK) until the acquisition by Danaher/Fluke. Steven Rogers, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Steven Rogers, Rivulet’s founder, has been named Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for the
company. In this expanded role, he will guide the company’s technical direction as we
continue to develop state-of-the-art products for our target markets. Steven, who is also the
company’s founder and inventor of our key technologies, will bring his extensive knowledge, experience and innovative talents to bear on advancing our product strategies for these markets. Steven has more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry. Prior to Rivulet, he founded and was CEO of three network product companies: Cryptek, Objective Communications, and Cetacean Networks. His extensive telecom and networking background also includes management and development work at Unisys, American Satellite, and COMSAT Mobile Telesystems. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. [return to top]

Steve Furr,
Chief Financial Officer
For 25+ years, Steve has held senior financial management positions in the communications and telecom industry, where he has developed a reputation for his ability to grow companies quickly while maintaining a strong financial foundation. Most recently, Steve was responsible for the oversight and management of the planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting function at VeriSign Information Services. Before joining VeriSign, Steve was Chief Financial Officer for Ocular Networks, from business initiation to the merger with Tellabs. He has held various positions with Alcatel USA where he managed the financial operations of the joint venture between Alcatel and Sprint. He also held financial positions at Global One; Sprint International; Dyn Corp; and Yount, Hyde and Barbour, P.C. Steve holds a Bachelors of Science in accounting from James Madison University and is a Certified Public Accountant. [return to top]

Greg Nulty, Senior Vice President, Business Development

Greg’s unique background spans more than 25 years with both leading service providers and equipment vendors. He brings to Rivulet a special balance of technology vision and business acumen, which is key to setting product direction. Most recently, Greg served as senior vice president of strategic planning at Tellabs. Prior to that he was vice president of Business Development at Ocular Networks. At Tollgrade Communications, Greg was vice president for Marketing-Advanced Network products, where he was instrumental in leading the company through a successful IPO and establishing the company’s market-share leadership. Greg also has held executive technical, strategic planning and marketing positions at companies including Pulsecom, Sprint and Ameritech. Greg has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. [return to top]

Chris Roller, CTO and Senior Vice President, Engineering Chris Roller has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and will also retain his previous title of SVP, Engineering. With more than 20 years of experience in R&D and product development, he has a reputation for building and leading world-class engineering teams to solve very difficult engineering problems on demanding schedules. Prior to joining Rivulet, Chris was senior vice president at Hillcrest Labs where he led the development of next-generation Freespace pointing systems for commercial TV and PC applications. At Tellabs/Ocular Networks, Chris was vice president, R&D, and he led the hardware and software engineering development and test efforts, bringing to market a scalable optical DCS/ADM with EoS capability. At Tellabs/Coherent, Chris was director of engineering for the Optical Networking Group, where he focused on optical networking equipment. During his tenure at E-Systems, Chris was both manager and technical mentor for an engineering team responsible for developing a diverse range of complex systems solutions. He received numerous awards, including the E-;Systems "General Manager's" and "Technical Excellence" awards. Chris holds U.S. patents in the areas of cellular radio geolocation and signal processing for tremor reduction. He holds a Doctor of Science in communications. He has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jeff Schmitz, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the networking industry with a proven track record in sales, marketing, product strategy and general management. Prior to joining Rivulet, Jeff was Vice President and General Manager for Spirent, where he was responsible for all aspects of Spirent Communications' Service Assurance Division. In addition to his responsibility for the division Jeff also led Spirents’ Corporate Marketing Organization. Jeff has also served as senior vice president for marketing and product management at Visual Networks, where he was responsible for managing the company's direct marketing, channel marketing, marketing communications and product management programs. Jeff's management experience began at Tellabs, where, during his 15-year tenure, he held a number of management-level positions in product line management and marketing, ultimately serving as Tellabs' senior vice president of global marketing. Jeff has a Master of Science degree in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University. [return to top]
