Hal Calhoun
Managing Director,
Menlo Ventures

Hal joined Menlo Ventures in 2000. Prior to Menlo Ventures, he was one of the early employees at ONI Systems (ONIS), a leading optical communications equipment manufacturer, where he served in a number of roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing. Previously, he held various market development positions in the Optical Networks division at Nortel Networks and was Senior Manager of Broadband Transport Planning at Fujitsu Network Communications. At Menlo, Hal focuses on investments in leading companies in the information technology sector. His recent investments and board seats include Bluesocket, GTronix, Invidi, KeyEye, LensVector, Neterion, Rivulet, Santur, Stretch, Tablus, and Quellan. Hal is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology (B.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering), where his graduate work focused on photonic semiconductor materials, devices, and systems. Bruce Cohen
Former President & CEO, ClearCube Technologies
Formerly President & CEO of Clearcube Techologies, Bruce has over 30 years of industry experience and has a proven track record of leading companies to rapid revenue growth and profitability. Prior to joining ClearCube, Bruce consulted with various companies to help develop effective go-to-market strategies. Earlier, he served as president and CEO of Top Layer Networks where he led the company to three consecutive years of strong earnings growth and increased international revenue. Prior to Top Layer Networks, Bruce served as president and CEO of Novasoft Systems where he established the company's channel model which grew revenue by 400% year over year. Bruce was senior vice president of worldwide field operations at Chipcom Corporation which was acquired by 3Com. At Chipcom, he played a key role in successfully launching three product lines, achieved 28 consecutive record quarters of growth, and pioneered a unique channel strategy which gained industry accolades. Bruce spent the first 15 years of his career in various sales and product management roles at IBM and Datapoint. Bruce has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. [return to top]

Hatch Graham
Founder & Managing Director, ATA Ventures
Hatch is the co-founder and Managing Director of ATA Ventures, a venture capital firm in the Silicon Valley area of California. In addition, Hatch has co-founded several innovative telecommunications companies in wireless, optical, and wireline telecommunications, such as Wave7 Optics in Atlanta, a leader in the fiber-to-the-home systems industry and California-based Resonext (acquired by RF Micro Devices), a successful pioneer in the wireless 802.11 "wi fi" chipset sector. Prior to his activities with privately owned companies, Hatch held executive officer positions within industry leading public companies, including World Access, TCSI Corporation, and Stanford Telecom. As a technologist, Hatch's architectures have led to key patents in direct digital synthesis, programmable logic device, digital filtering, forward error correction, spread spectrum wireless, cable TV, and cellular telephone applications. For his invention in digital modulation for cable TV, he was granted the coveted "reverse path" patent which enabled cost effective bidirectional communication over CATV -- a primary enabler for the cable modem industry. Hatch was also granted an error correction patent that contributed to the introduction of Direct Broadcast Satellite television. Hatch has been a recipient of Idaho State University 's Professional Achievement Award, where he graduated in 1982 with a B.S. Engineering degree. [return to top]

Edward Kennedy,

Ed is president and CEO of Rivulet Communications Inc. He brings to Rivulet more than 25 years of global executive experience in the telecommunications, fiber optics and networking industries. Ed is recognized in the Washington, DC-area technology community as a visionary leader who has successfully founded and operated several leading-edge firms. He is perhaps best known as the CEO, president and co-founder of Ocular Networks, a provider of next-generation optical networking technologies. Ocular became one of the most successful M&A deals in 2002 when it was acquired by Tellabs (NASDAQ: TLAB). Ed then was promoted and served as president of Tellabs until 2004. Ed has held various executive positions at leading companies, including Alcatel and Newbridge Networks. Most recently, Ed worked in an advisory role with Columbia Capital, a premier venture capital investment firm. Ed is a sought-after speaker at industry and financial venues. He has spoken at some of Wall Street’s largest conferences and has addressed the global telecommunications community at several industry events. Ed is a member of the boards of Hatteras Networks and Imagine Communications. He also was a Board member of Visual Networks (NASDAQ: VNWK) until the acquisition by Danaher/Fluke Mr. Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Steven Rogers

Steven has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry. He is the founder and CEO of four network product companies: Cryptek, Objective Communications, Cetacean Networks, and Rivulet Communications. Peter Vicars

Peter has a highly successful global track record and over 30 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industry. Peter joined the founding team at Chantry Networks, a company in the competitive Wireless LAN (WLAN) space, which he subsequently sold to Siemens AG, resulting in an excellent return to the Series A&B investors. Prior to Chantry, Peter served as President and CEO of Cayman Systems, Inc., where he led the company from its position as a fringe player to become a leader in the broadband access market. As President and CEO of Teloquent Communications Corporation, he led a team which grew the business from $3M to $18M and positioned it as a mainstream player in the call center marketplace. Peter also served as President and CEO of Tekelec, a publicly traded telecommunications company, where he directed all corporate activities and managed subsidiaries in Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. A native of South Africa, Peter has had both domestic and international management experience with such companies as Perkin Elmer, ITT (Qume) and Micropolis. He started his career as a software developer with Sperry Univac in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Peter is on the board directors of Circadiant, a startup in the optical test and certification space. [return to top]
